Signs of Spring

Signs of Spring
At the start of each new season, kindergarten students venture out on the Close to make what they call "Signs Of" books. They explore our beautiful Close and use their five senses to describe the current season that is unfolding around the School. This past week they embarked on their spring books by enjoying the expanse of the Pulpit Green and asking themselves the question, "In spring I see?" For their books, the students sound out words and practice their spelling to explain what they see, taste, touch, smell, and hear that is representative of spring. Students then make a cover, illustrate the pages, and individually share their books with the class. Stay tuned for images of their final products and enjoy some photographs of the students out on the Close, conducting their research on a bright sunny day.
