4th Graders Speak up for the Earth

Jessica B. of 4J gave a speech last week at Lower School Assembly about global warming and how it is negatively impacting our planet. She is not the first in her class to come forward and express her concern for the environment. 2 weeks ago, Elizabeth B. spoke about climate change and her inspiration, Greta Thunberg. Each student mentioned how they wanted to save the Eath and listed ways that we can get involved. Jessica B. said, "So much of our planet is damaged but we can fix it. You can fix it. We can help by using something amazing. It is called a carbon dioxide sucking machine. It costs very little and it builds itself. It’s called a tree." Elizabeth B. shared, "You can help take care of our planet by Recycling plastics, planting more trees, and writing letters to your community leaders. You can also help by going to marches." Jessica B. and Elizabeth B., along with other classmates, founded an Environmental Club dedicated to encouraging others to protect the environment. Lindsay H. and Julia D. will also be giving speeches within the next couple of weeks at Lower School Assembly.
