Grandparents and Special Visitors Day
This past Friday, Cathedral hosted its annual Grandparents and Special Visitors Day. Our Lower School guests were greeted with brief remarks from Head of School Erica Corbin before they dispersed to meet their Lower Schooler in their classroom. It was wonderful to see the joy and excitement amongst our Lower School students as they shared a piece of their day-to-day life at Cathedral with their visitors. Each classroom featured activities for students to share with guests, such as shared stories, math games, partner poems, and more.
Following the Lower School visits, all guests were welcome to attend our Earth Day Evensong in the Cathedral of St. John the Divine. The Evensong featured music, art, and an address from members of Cathedral’s PEACOCK (People’s Environmental Action Club Of Cathedral Kids) Club. After the service, guests of our Upper School students were welcome to tour the school building during an Open House session, and all members of the community were invited to join in an Ice Cream Social for Ms. Corbin’s birthday on the Pulpit Green.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to visit for Grandparents and Special Visitors Day, and thank you to Cathedral’s spectacular faculty, staff, and parent volunteers for their hard work in making everyone feel welcome within the Close. We hope to see everyone again soon! View photos in the right-hand column.
