Congratulations to the Class of 2023

The Class of 2023 completed their journey at Cathedral this past Friday, officially becoming Cathedral School alumni! The day began with the 8th Grade Breakfast and Bookplate Ceremony in the Common, Dining, and Morningside Rooms. Students, families, faculty, and staff gathered for a wonderful breakfast and then Bookplates were presented to each student by a faculty member after a brief speech about their time at Cathedral and the positive impact they’ve had on those around them in their time on the Close. Following breakfast, 8th graders and guests made their way over to the Cathedral for official Commencement exercises. Thu Ahn Nguyen, a Vietnamese writer, artist, activist, and educator, spoke to the Class of 2023 as the Graduation Speaker and gave a wonderful speech for the 8th grade as they begin the transition to their next chapter. Each student received their Cathedral diploma, proceeded out of the Cathedral to the front steps for photos, and ended the day with refreshments on the Nelson Green.
