8th Grade Celebration

The Class of 2023 gathered in Synod Hall for the annual 8th Grade Celebration on Wednesday afternoon. The celebration is a completely student-coordinated event, and the 8th Grade class put together a lovely program for their fellow students, family, faculty and staff.

 

This year’s program featured a photo montage created by Tess N., a dance performance from Loretta K., Lyla Jane C., and Annabelle S., and a speech from Eleni S. Several other students had the opportunity to speak as well and there were reflections from the 8th Grade advisors. Students also received their pins and Core Value cords for graduation—a wonderful new tradition. The pins excuse the 8th Grade from wearing their uniforms for the rest of the school year and the cords represent a Core Value that each student most embodied during their time at Cathedral.
