Fifth Grade Tech Bootcamp

Our 5th grade students kicked off the year receiving their new MacBooks during  a special Technology Bootcamp led by Ms. Rodriguez, our Director of Technology, and Mr. Loeprich, our Technology Support Specialist. One of the privileges of entering Upper School is receiving a school email account, and the bootcamp helped prepare students to use this tool responsibly.

 

Students learned how to create strong passwords, took a critical look at common online scams like clickbait and phishing emails, and analyzed real life case studies about digital footprints and their long term impact. These conversations helped students reflect on how to stay safe and make responsible choices online.

 

It was a full afternoon, and we are so proud of our 5th graders for their thoughtful engagement and excitement as they begin their digital journey!
