Upper School Assembly - Alumni Panel

On Wednesday, January 10, The Cathedral School hosted a panel of four college-aged alumni during the Upper School Assembly: Isabel Koo '16, Amelia Dupont '18, Jennevieve Culver '17, and Joshua Golden '17.
They answered questions from students about their Cathedral, high school and college experiences and the effect Cathedral had on them even after they left. They spoke about their high school application process and how it prepared them for the college application process, answered questions about student government opportunities, and had helpful insight on what it was like to assimilate into a new community once they left Cathedral among many other pieces of advice.
“The goal of the panel was for the Upper School students to learn about the high school process and get insight on college experiences from their former peers, and for the alumni panelists to have a chance to reconnect with The Cathedral School and share what they have learned with the community,” explained Advancement Associate Sandy Gonzalez-Rodriguez who mediated the panel alongside Ms. Lora, and organized the event. “Each panelist had insightful knowledge and advice that they passed along to the upper school students. It was inspiring and impressive to hear about their studies, plans for the future, and individualized paths that suit their goals and interests.”
Thank you to Ms. Lora and Ms. Berney for their partnership in making this event such a success, to the Upper School students for asking such thoughtful questions, and to the panelists for taking the time to stop by and speak during assembly. View photos in the right-hand column.
