Core Value of the Month: Respect

The core value for the month of January is respect. At Cathedral, we define respect as follows: Respect is the cornerstone of sound citizenship. It requires true acceptance, especially when the ideas of others do not align with our own. It necessitates the care and the support of our community, our environment, each other, and ourselves. Respect builds healthy and productive citizens of the Cathedral community and the world.

Throughout the next month, kindergarten through 8th grade students will participate in a variety of lessons and activities that highlight this core value of The Cathedral School. Talk to your child at home about respect. Ask, “What does respect mean to you? How do you show respect to others? How do others show you respect? When is it most difficult or tricky to show respect?"
