Morningside Park Earth Day Clean Up

Mission Outreach paired with Friends of Morningside Park for a park clean-up for Earth Day this past Saturday, and it was a wonderful community event. Cathedral School Parent Brigham Keehner hosted a walking tour and BYO picnic lunch before the clean up began and then everyone had a great time coming together for a good cause. It was a special opportunity for students to help the community in a tangible way, and they were able to make a difference that they will continue to see in coming weeks.

“We hope that our kids will walk by the clean-up area; possibly during athletic practice, a science field trip, their walk to school, or maybe a weekend picnic, and feel proud of the difference they made to a public place. If there is anything that shows what a group of people of any age can do, our accomplishments are absolute proof,” said Mr. Keehner.

The Cathedral School and Mission Outreach will continue to try and foster relationships with the community and make a difference wherever they can.
