Spirit Week Recap

THANK YOU to our entire community for sharing the spirit of The Cathedral School during our first-ever online Spirit Week (May 11-16)! Our great appreciation to all who hosted (especially Mr. Delacey, Chef Whittle, Mr. Donaldson, Ms. Bryant, and Ms. Prophet), performed, and participated in Spirit Sessions; shared Spirit Videos (click here for a recap of all videos throughout the week); entered the Coloring Contest and submitted Spirit Stories (see below); downloaded Zoom backgrounds (still available—click here); and so much more!

It is our pleasure and privilege to announce the results of the Spirit Story and Coloring Contests. Thank you to all who participated throughout the week. The submissions were truly inspiring, and it was so much fun to see your creativity!

The author of the Spirit Story named “Most Spirited” is Elizabeth B. ‘24! Elizabeth’s haiku beautifully captures the spirit of the Cathedral community, and we are delighted to share it with you now:

Always being used
The Porch always filled with friends
Porch, always be used

Elizabeth will receive a vintage Cathedral pennant—congratulations!

We are also pleased to share that the winners of the Spirit Week Coloring Contest are Nelle ‘24 and Buddy F. ‘26! Thank you for creating such a colorful representation of Cathedral—community, family, friends! Nelle and Buddy will receive a ½-sized serving pan of Baked Macaroni & Cheese, courtesy of Chef Whittle. Claire F. ‘26 and Zahra Y-Z. ‘25 were named Honorable Mentions and will each receive a vintage Cathedral pennant. Please see the Coloring Contest Photo Album (right) to enjoy all of the wonderful pennants and banners we received. Great work, everyone!

Thank you to all for sharing the Cathedral spirit—throughout Spirit Week and always!
