Ms. Nelson Presents the 2019 Z Award to Ann Bryant
At Thanksgiving Evensong last Tuesday, Ms. Nelson spoke about how grateful she is for the Cathedral community, especially one particular member who was given the Z Award this year. The Z Award is named after Steven B. Zaslosky who was a teacher, coach, dean, and business manager at Cathedral from 1978 through 1986. This award is presented in honor of his good natured spirit to someone who embodies his qualities of determiniation, humor, encouragement, and positivity. The 2019 Z Award was presented to Ann Bryant. Ms. Nelson said it best: "A good teacher knows the importance of imbuing students with knowledge and skills. A great teacher adds another crucial element to the mix: character. Our recipient has made it her mission to provide students opportunities to explore their own identities, to embrace diversity and inclusion, and to actively work to create a more equitable and just world."
