Alum Ben Ghatan '18 Speaks at NYSAIS Head of Schools Conference
Ben Ghatan ‘18, currently a sophomore at Riverdale, was part of a select group of New York State high school students invited to speak at the NYSAIS Head of Schools Conference at Mohonk Mountain House in New Paltz last week. Ben spoke passionately about the need for diversity in school curriculum, including religious diversity, and the importance of preparing students for conversations with people who have different political opinions. He stressed that having a diverse student body and adult role models is key to preparing students to understand multiple viewpoints. We are proud to see that Ben has carried forward all that he learned about equity and inclusion while a student here at Cathedral.
